The South Bank Group was formed twenty years ago, we're a friendly and varied group of people of all ages and interests who share a love of walking. Most of our members live in the boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark, but some come from further afield.
We have a comprehensive programme of walks which cover most of South East England. Virtually all our walks are accessible by public transport and generally run each Saturday and Sunday. In the summer we offer walks along London's waterways on Wednesday evenings. These are taken at a leisurely pace and are always very interesting.
Our weekend walks vary in length from four to 18 miles, and vary in difficulty from the comfortable to the positively challenging. A pub refreshment stop is often included, either during or after the walk, so there is the opportunity to relax with new found friends, or even old ones. We also arrange weekend trips of two or three days.
