Wednesday, 19 October 2022 - KEW GARDENS TO GUNNERSBURY PARK - 8.5 miles - Leader: Caroline K

Our route from Kew Gardens station takes us westward along the tree-lined Thames path, then over Richmond Lock to historic Syon Park in Isleworth. After reaching the tranquil basin of Brentford Lock, we follow the Grand Union Canal and the Thames eastward to Kew Bridge, then take in the lovely woods and gardens of Gunnersbury Park in our walk up to Acton Town station. Mainly easy terrain with a few sections of road walking and sets of steep steps; several drop out points.
Lunch: Syon Park: cafe or picnic; possible refreshment stop at Gunnersbury Park Museum
